Reiki Courses |  | I am a Reiki Master Teacher who is dedicated to spreading Reiki whether it is through providing healing for people or teaching Reiki to others. I have practiced Reiki for some years and have a very varied experience of treating lots of different conditions.
As a Reiki Master I feel it is very important to provide my students with concise, well prepared and well taught courses and as such I took and passed the City and Guilds Teaching Practice Stage One course in order to enhance and improve my teaching skills. By taking the Reiki Master Teacher level you become qualified to teach Reiki, however that course alone does not furnish you with the teaching skills and methods with which to teach effectively and this is a very important part of any course.
The Reiki I teach and practice is the traditional Japanese style of Reiki as used by the founder Mikao Usui, this is referred to as Usui-do, meaning "The Way of Usui".
On all Tranquil Treatments courses you will be taught Active Reiki which is far more effective than the more widely practiced Passive Reiki. When healing actively the practitioner uses the correct frequency energy to treat the condition and counteract the presenting symptoms. The practitioner then uses visualisation and intention to direct and strengthen the energy. When healing passively the practitioner simply acts as a channel for the energy with no input into the frequency or amplitude of the energy. This does not take into account each client's specific condition.
A Reiki course is unlike any other course in many ways, it does not require endless hours of study with gruelling exams. The way in which one learns Reiki is by way of an attunement. During the attunement process the Reiki Master makes an adjustment to your energy body, realigning your chakras and opening a channel that gives you a direct connection to the Reiki energy and thereby the ability to channel this energy.
When you receive your first attunement you embark upon your own path of personal and spiritual development, a wonderful journey of discovery and enlightenment.

Each time you heal someone else the energy flows through you as well therefore you receive the benefits of the energy too.
When you complete your course you will be provided with a comprehensive manual that contains everything covered in the course, you will be offered ongoing support and the chance to attend Reiki shares where you can meet other healers and practice your healing.
The aftercare and ongoing support provided is rarely offered by colleges and not always offered by independent teachers either. I believe that once you start someone on their journey of discovery you should support them through it and not just leave them to their own devices. For lots of people the experiences they have will be new and exciting and at times they can be confusing, it is therefore important to provide support and guidance to students to ensure a healthy transition and make it as easy as possible.
The aftercare and support is just one of many ways in which the experience is made far more personal with Tranquil Treatments. Classes are always kept small, if not one to one, so that each student receives personal attention and is given time to discuss their experiences. The healing methods taught can be tailored to personal requirements, for example if a student has a particular condition then they can be shown special techniques to heal their condition more effectively.

Reiki level I – £120
This is the basic level for healing yourself, family and friends. This course is certificated with a course manual and includes four attunements. It is taught over one day. Further details.
Reiki level II – £150
This is the practitioner level which teaches you to heal on all levels, physical, emotional/mental and spiritual. This course is certificated with a course manual. It includes one attunement and three symbols. It is taught over one day. Further details.
Reiki level I and II combined – £270
This is the preferred way to learn Reiki as it allows you to heal immediately any issues that come up during your cleansing process and is closer to the way Dr Usui originally taught. This course is certificated with a course manual and includes five attunements and three symbols. It is taught over two days. Further details.
Reiki level I and II Short Course – £180
This course is for people who wish to learn to heal themselves on every level but do not wish to practice professionally. It is basically the same as the Reiki level I and II combined minus the practitioner information required to practice professionally.
